When we talk about Reiki we’re actually talking about two things: Reiki itself and Reiki practice. 

Reiki itself is the dimensionless, unified field in which everything exists. For ease of understanding, we can call it Reiki energy. Reiki practice, or the act of accessing this universal energy, is often viewed as both a healing art and a spiritual practice. 

Trained Reiki practitioners may channel Reiki energy to themselves or others (including animals) to gently restore energetic balance to the whole being and bring about the needed conditions for all types of healing—spiritual, emotional, and physical. 

Practitioners can do this either in-person or remotely because Reiki energy isn’t bound by time or space. Remote sessions are just as effective as in-person ones—and I find that animals actually often prefer them.

In short, while animal communication helps us understand your companion’s experience and preferences more clearly, Reiki offers direct energetic support for their comfort and wellbeing. Think of communication as the conversation that helps us know what they need, and Reiki as one of the ways we can support those needs.

It’s really for anyone, but it can be an especially good fit if:

• You want to support your animal companion (and maybe even yourself) with weekly Reiki sessions but you have limited time and/or money.

• You’re looking for a gentle way to soothe animals struggling with anxiety or pain.

• You’re looking for a safe, non-invasive complement to veterinary care.

• You want to feel more centered and grounded so you can better support your animal companions through challenges.

• You want to supplement your animal companion’s private sessions.

• You don’t require individual communication with your animal companion(s) for each Reiki session.

I’ll say a quick hello to each animal before I start each session to get their consent before sending the energy. (If for any reason they withdraw their consent, I’ll let you know, but it’s rare.) Because of the group nature of this offering, I won’t be able to communicate with your animal companions individually beyond inviting them to the Reiki practice.

Instead, I will feel into the energy of the group and take note of any themes and general messages that arise. I’ll send that information to you in an email at the end of each month.

You’re also welcome to email me any time with updates or questions that don’t require me to communicate with your animal companion(s).

No. Reiki energy is infinite and is not diluted when offered to multiple beings at once. However, it takes training and experience to hold space for groups in this way. That’s why this offering is somewhat unique.

Yes, you can. Just be sure to cancel before the automatic monthly renewal. (You can do it right away or wait until you get the reminder email at the end of the month.)

Yes! In your order, just select the number of participants and put their names and species in the notes.

No, with one exception: If your animal companion dies before the month ends, I’ll refund you for the remaining weeks. (I work with a lot of animals who are nearing the end of their lives.)
