They Are Watching Over You

Two cats in spirit show themselves looking after their people from the great beyond.

During my communication sessions with animal companions in spirit, people often ask if their animal companions are around them or watching over them in spirit. The answer is almost always yes.

And sometimes, the animals offer fun visuals representing what they’re doing on the “other side,” and they stick with me until I draw them. The latest drawing, below, was inspired by a brother and sister pair of cats.

When the brother cat died a little while back, he told me about how big and expansive he felt in spirit. One of his people told me that she could sense how big his spirit was, too, and that she imagined him looking in on them, like they were in a box. I let her know that I also saw that visual pretty vividly in my mind’s eye.

When the cat’s sister died a few months later, I saw her with him, and the image of them both watching over their people as if they were in a little box, stuck with me. So I decided to draw something inspired by this beautiful interspecies family and their spirit communications:

The brother cat’s spirit also set off a fire alarm in my house during a session after we asked him for a sign that he’s around—but that’s a story for another day!
